Instructions For Gordon Brown's Makeup Application Left In Taxi

Here's a little story that'll lighten your mood. One of Gordon Brown's junior aides accidentally left a briefcase with sensitive documents in a taxi last night. Amongst several confidential papers was an emergency makeup application how-to guide should Brown ever have to apply his own face.

The instructions were as follows:

1. Transparent Brush. Foam all over.

2. Small pot under eyes, dimple, creases, blend in.

3. Clinique. Super balanced make-up. All over again, like painting a wall, and ears. Shut eyes over lids then with make-up pad smooth over liquid.

4. Powder (dark brush) terracotta Guerlain, all over.

And here we thought Gordon Brown's makeup kit consisted of lack of sleep and cigars. Boy were we wrong.
