Last month, we reported that England had welcomed its youngest dad, Alfie Patten, who was said to have impregnated his 14-year-old girlfriend at the young age of 12. Since that story hit, about half a dozen boys have come forward saying they, not Alfie, were the fathers of baby Maisie.
To silence the critics, Alfie's mother advised him to take a DNA test. "I didn’t know about DNA tests before but mum explained it’s when they do a swab in your mouth and it tells if you’re the dad. So if I have it, they can all shut up," he said.
Well, it looks like little Alfie's the one to have been silenced as tests revealed he was not the father.
Now the search is on to find which one of half a dozen boys got Chantelle Stedman pregnant.
Chantelle is now one of thousands of teen mothers in England, and since it doesn't involve the youngest father in the country anymore, the story has lost interest. Just another teen mother in the teenage parent capital of the world.
