Every day, an average of 63 teenage girls are arrested for assault in England. Last year, 58,500 girls were taken to court. These figures, which have tripled in the last seven years, were revealed by the Youth Justice Board.
They show violent offences by girls aged ten to 17, including stabbings and even murder, rose from just 6,000 in 2001 to almost 23,000 last year.
Girls aged 15 and 16 had the worst record, with a third of them admitting to binge drinking. Tories are blaming the abundance of cheap booze for corrupting the young women.
"The cause of too many young girls getting off their faces is the availability of cheap alcohol," said David Ruffley, shadow police minister.
Apparently, if you're a 15-year-old girl in England, you're either drunk, pregnant, or both. Don't even bother asking where the parents are; they're as drunk—if not drunker—than their savage daughters.
