In England, Booze Is Cheaper Than Water
A study has found that supermarkets in England are selling generic-brand alcohol for less than bottled water. Why anyone would force themselves to down shot after shot of this low-quality, hangover-inducing liquor is beyond us (then again, we aren't responsible for the world's demise). The only group of people unhappy with the low prices are pub owners who are being forced to shut down due to their inability to compete with the supermarkets. There's currently a law that bans "irresponsible" pub promotions.
Poor saps, whatever will you do now that your livelihood has been taken from you by these evil grocers. If you plan on drowning your sorrows, we know where you can get some cheap booze.
