22-Year-Old Jailed For Singing Spiderpig To Cops
David Mullen, 22, was arrested for fighting on July 25. While sitting in the police van on his way to jail, he started singing Spiderpig, popularized by Homer in The Simpsons Movie, to the cops. Also, he called one of the officers "Ginger." Yes, he was drunk. He's reportedly been abusing alcohol since the age of 12 (what Briton hasn't). The officers didn't take kindly to his childish taunting and awarded him three extra months of incarceration. In total, he'll be in jail for 8 months on charges of assaulting police officers and breaching curfew while on bail. Sheriff Robert McCreadie had this to say to Mr. Mullen: "It is tragic that you have taken alcohol for almost half of your life. You have a dreadful record for a man of 22." We don't know what Sheriff McCreadie's talking about, young Mullen sounds like a textbook Brit to us.
