The Term "British" Deemed Offensive In Wales
A council in Caerphilly, South Wales has warned its staff not to use the term "British" as it is likely to offend people from Scotland, Ireland, Wales, China, and Asia. Officials have grouped it with other offensive terms, such as "negro," "spastic" and "half-caste." The reason for banning the term is that it creates a false sense of unity. In other words, no one wants to be in your gang anymore, England.
You've no one to blame but yourself for this. Your incessant meddling in people's lives is maddening. CCTVs constantly monitor people, instilling a sense of distrust. You've proposed to hire tea monitors to keep an eye on people's tea-drinking habits in the workplace, you want to make it illegal for people to buy sandwiches for lunch, and your suggestion of having ice cream instead of Christmas pudding because it's less wasteful is simply asinine. The most disturbing thing of all is that you pay people to come up with these ideas!
Leave England to its own demise, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales. You are doing the right thing in distancing yourselves from it.
