Norfolk citizens are outraged upon finding that police spent £35,000 (around $55,000) of their tax money developing a new logo that looks just like the old one (the only discernible difference being that the new one has less red). Even Norfolk's own police officers question the move. "It is an outrageous waste. There didn't seem to be anything wrong with the old logo," said one anonymous officer.
Norfolk police have a history of blunderous moves. Earlier this year, it was reported that they were not investigating 40 percent of reported crimes because they did not believe they could be solved. They've also, in an effort to keep crime rates down, come under fire for not counting car vandalism as criminal damage unless proven to not have been accidental. Of course if you don't investigate them to begin with...
Some have suggested that the money could have been better used to put more officers on the street, but it would only have been enough for two new hires. Are two newbies really going to make any difference? Of course not. Our suggestion is to put it toward the reparation debt. Every bit counts, and the debt won't go away by simply ignoring it.
