Sad how George Michael has had more public toilet arrests than new albums in the past decade. Police apprehended Michael at a bathroom in the Hampstead Heath area on September 19 on suspicion of drug possession. Though he could have been jailed for seven years, British authorities, displaying their trademark spinelessness, fined Michael and promptly released him. It is obvious that Michael is not learning from his mistakes. In 1998, he was jailed for lewd behavior in a public toilet. This incident prompted Michael to publicly announce his homosexuality. In 2006, police found him slumped over the wheel of his car. Last May, Michael pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. We sincerely hope George Michael is being honest with his promise to "sort myself out."
