Drunken Teenagers Pummel Man "Beyond Recognition"
When Gareth Avery, 48, saw a 16-year-old boy urinating on a car, he told him to stop. The boy, drunk off vodka and cider, was accompanied by two equally intoxicated friends. When reproached, the group kicked and stamped Mr. Avery into unconsciousness. Prosecutor Robert Davies said, "He had been subjected to a prolonged, brutal and pitiless attack by these three and was entirely unable to defend himself." Two 16-year-olds and one 21-year-old await their sentence for their attack on Mr. Avery, who suffered a fractured cheekbone, two broken eye sockets, and required metal plates to be fitted in his face.
The evidence keeps piling up, England. Seems like your drinking problem has no age bias. All across the board, no matter what social class or age bracket, inebriated Britons are wreaking havoc. This tragic and senseless beating is just strengthens our prohibition for England case.
