British officials admitted Wednesday something that the ICBR has long suspected: the network of 4.2 million closed circuit television cameras installed across London over the last decade has proved massively ineffective in preventing urban crime. Detective Chief Inspector Mick Neville, head of the Visual Images, Identifications and Detections Office at the New Scotland Yard said, “It’s been an utter fiasco. Only 3 percent of crimes were solved by CCTV.” Wow, how much did a 4.2-million-unit CCTV network cost England? This just seams like yet another example of British misrule and misappropriation of funds. If you can’t govern yourselves effectively, whatever gave you the impression that you could successfully run a global empire?
