Pot Calls The Kettle Black: Rolling Stones Comments On Others Drug Use

02.25.2008

Philadelphia, PA

Rolling Stones’ guitarist Keith Richards passed judgment on fellow British entertainer Amy Winehouse last week saying, “she should get her act together.” Fellow Stone Mick Jagger also spoke out about Winehouse’s drug habits stating, “When we were experimenting with drugs, little was known about the effects. In our time there were no rehab centers like today. Anyway, I did not know about them.”

Right. What wild and crazy times those were Mick. Everybody and their mother was running around snorting god-knows-what under the assumption that it was hunky dory. How hunky dory was it when you went on a bender and work up in bed with David Bowie? That probably would have been a good time to check yourself into one of those “non-existing” rehab centers that did exist in your youth. And Keith, remember when you admitted to snorting some of your father’s remains a few years ago?
