England Stinks...Literally
A mysterious and wretched odor, described as a mix of raw sewage and rotten fish, has left residents of a Hampshire town gagging. Officials don't know what's causing the stench that's causing sore eyes and burning throats in locals, but believe the recent hot weather may be a factor.
David Jago, head of environmental health at Gosport Borough Council, thinks the smell is the result of "a combination probably of seaweed, hot weather and the mud."
Really, Mr. Jago? You don't think it's debauchery, questionable hygiene, and environmental carelesness mixed with the hot weather that's causing the smell?
Listen, Britons. You're just going to have to suffer through the smell until the snow comes back to mask the smell of your sins once again. Until then, you just sit there and atone.
