England Seeks Witch

07.08.2009 - Witch required for Wookey Hole Caves - must be able to cackle

Wookey Hole Caves, a tourist attraction near Wells, Somerset is desperately looking to hire a witch to live in their cave. The right applicant will "be able to cackle" and "must not be allergic to cats."

A representative from Wookey Hole Caves spoke about the position. "The job is straightforward," he said, "live in the cave, be a witch, and do the things witches do." Amazingly, "doing the things witches do" pays rather well, to the tune of £50,000 a year.

We wonder if Wookey Hole Caves realizes they're asking British women to simply be themselves. Somewhere, Susan Boyle is relieved to know that as soon as her singing career ends (any day now), she'll quickly find a well-paid job.
