"The Forme of Cury," a cookbook compiled by King Richard II's chef has been digitalized and uploaded to the web. The book, thought to date back to 1420, contains many bizarre recipes the king enjoyed. Chief amongst these bizarre recipes is a tasty porpoise dish. To clarify, King Richard II ate dolphins. If he were alive today, he would watch Flipper and assume it's a cooking show. Though we could not decipher the recipe, we can only assume the porpoise was heavily spiced and fried.
Watch a video of the cookbook's pompous keeper, John Hodgson, discussing the book here.
